Growth comes from change. Happiness comes from acceptance.
Merrily, you’re built to do both, at once.
2 Point Oh, baby –
The Universe
I had my own topic this morning, but as usual, between making tea, lunch and trying to keep my eyes open it flew out – well, clearly it was not as important as I thought it to be. If it is, I am sure it will return at a later stage.
See how and where messages come from. I am on this journey of once again “self-discovery”, and I tell myself the whole time, change is the only thing constant. THE ONLY.
I can see all of you praying towards another subject this morning, however – I feel to remind you, that I might just be the “vessel” to deliver another message to you, on this subject.
Happiness comes from acceptance… ah, I like that. It is for me, this crisp morning, a reminder on all the things I believe and feel my life should look like and be. Thus, resisting, subconsciously the place and time, I find myself currently. Strange way of looking at it right?
If we have a room full of people this morning and ask them, what acceptance means to them, I am sure from let’s say 20 people, we will walk away with ten different ideas.
Acceptance…. Acceptance…
the action of consenting to receive or undertake something offered.
the process or fact of being received as adequate, valid, or suitable
If we step back and look at the process of “letting go” and the process towards acceptance, it is indeed a long and hard road.
Let me try and simplify, you may ask me if I am stating that you should be content in an unhappy marriage, read above – in the end acceptance of anything in this world, boils down to – personal choice and desire, life core values, morals, foundation – many would state, the way they were raised.
Flip side of this – we teach our children to question everything… thus teaching them in theory, they do not have to accept anything, in choosing.
Here is the magic, no one can tell you, you are wrong, nor can they force you into accepting anything that does not “sit-well” with you. We have that thing called free-will, and within that word – the charm of accepting where we are, in the moment is a free-willed and conscious choice.
Should you find yourself unable to accept your life, your conditions – do something to change it… constructively.
