Sounding Board

We all need a sounding board, right?

Or is that just another way of having and excuse to verbally crucify another person and making ourselves feeling so much better – as we need a sounding board… right?

You can challenge me today in asking, the difference in a sounding board or the crucifying of another. I think there is a very fine line between the two. There is another way of looking at this as well – once asked a question about “someone”, it does say a lot about you in response.

No saint, no saint at all – and oh my gods, did I too fall in that hole created, repeatedly. But (yes and I hear a voice in my head – a but cancels everything out), BUT – at some stage you will “learn” when to open your mouth and when not to open your mouth….

But what is the difference you may ask. Quite easily answered. A sounding board, is a person, ALLOWED to tell you straight out, you were wrong. Your actions have caused – whatever it is that has happened… Crucifying another – ah, now there is the “thing” we do so well, we state or make ourselves out to be the hero’s we blow our own horns, and with a shrug of the shoulder we walk away feeling great, as we have “explained” why we said what we did, you know, justification of the action…

No, you cannot blame this on the poor messenger from the heavens, nor can you state that “no-one” understands, or be one sided and not hand the whole truth… because in all that – it makes you a liar…

You remember that thing about choices – ah, so here I am, I made a choice in walking away, I am still in the process of rationalising it, but I did make the choice. Whether it came from a deeper understanding of “self” and a much-needed spiritual cleansing… who knows.

I am honouring my higher self, I am listening to my inner voice, and above all, I am allowing the path to unfold, without crucifying another, without trying to use “sounding boards”, I am silent…

May the silence in your world be louder than the voices today…
